Congestion – USA to Australia and New Zealand
Extended shipment delays are occurring from the US to Australia and New Zealand due to high demand, historical levels of congestion, and limited vessel space. Delays range from three to four weeks for a vessel to berth at the intended terminal. This delay removes a significant amount of capacity or space from normal schedules, creating a backlog of cargo waiting to be loaded for export. The backlog severely limits terminal space, warehouse space, and truck capacity.
These delays are forecast to last into early 2022. Please contact us at Scand International for the latest updates and for our solution.
